Thanks Bill!

Always a great read!
I have a hard time not adding all the pics.
I had the privilege of playing an alumni game against Kelly. As a hockey player there is no chance he deserves to be in. However he has spent his entire life promoting and representing the Flyers and has done an outstanding job. Put him on a banner and raise it up.

I also had the chance to meet Bob Kelly at a tailgate in 2007 before a game. I spoke with him, and we chatted about both being Canadians.. He said, do you want to put the SC ring on? of course I did.. he said, just don't run away ok haha He and Bernie are fantastic ambassadors

Bill you see any players who have not been signed getting a PTO with the flyers?

I have enjoyed the fan comments and debate around the six finalists for 2021-22 induction into the Flyers Hall of Fame.

For some reason I laughed a little when I read this...

If they hadn't signed Brassard, I'd say Bozak. But now, no.

Thanks Bill! I listened to Jason Myrtetus's podcast that you guested on the other day and really enjoyed it! In fact I am very thankful that Jason does the podcasts and they are available on Spotify. As you might expect, being from Boston there is not much talk about hockey in general (with the Patriots season about to start) and when there is its always about the Bruins, so being able to get in the car and listen to Jason's podcasts on the Flyers really hits the mark for me.

Exactly right. Also scored the Cup-winning goal in 1975. With Rick MacLeish having passed five years ago, Houd is the only living person who can claim the distinction of scoring a goal that won the Stanley Cup for the Philadelphia Flyers.

We fail frequently at measuring the impact of playing for this team. Spending to commemorate your brief career with the Flyers by engraving a tombstone?
It grants a perspective.
Now I have to consider my epitaph which would be entirely personal. To toss in a bit of mystery 'I've been waiting since 1976. A little longer I don't have.'
With my luck, they'll win the year I go and make it nonsensical even to Flyers fans.

Brent Flahr on German R-

Yeah, well, he couldn’t even hold onto his stick or shoot (the puck), so that was the other problem. They came over and they just thought it was a sprain, and he dislocated it — ligaments weren’t even attached to his wrist. But everything’s good to go here now.

KHL is something else

I think this is Germans last chance

Reading the article you can't help hoping for some surprises from the farm system

That was just Flyers fans clickbait... as usual from him. I wish it were true, but damn! Last year was a monumental disaster and I don't think team CAN want's anything to do with him in this olympics. I hope I am wrong.

Fair assessment. I watched plenty of Jets games last season, and Thompson was easily the worst Jet on the ice. Hopefully he is a healthy scratch, because finding a job day 1 of free agency was a big surprise. No clue how the guy has made almost 15M through a career when he doesn't fight, score, or posses any good defensive stats. Luckily for Flyers fans, he won't be on the roster unless they hit a string of injuries.

If he has a "normal" Carter Hart first half I can see him being considered.

That's sort of what I'm thinking. I hope like heck that he does have that kind of start.

Me too. There is no guarantee that Price will be recovered by then, so that thins the pool for Canadian goalies. I could see him go as the 3rd tender if he has a strong start to the campaign.

Personally, I do not want him to go. Great honor for him but I want him to get the rest.
